Not great. But large portions. But the prices are also in the 16 buck range so… rice was not work eating. The cucumber salad was just dressed in hot oil and not authentic (but they did just call it “ma la” and not smashed cucumber salad), and the Singapore noodles had canned mushrooms. But it also had three kinds of meats. Very fast service.
Solid spot for Chinese food takeout! Dining in is closed. FAST service and tasty. The egg rolls, YUM. Crab Rangoon was a bit onion heavy for my taste. Sesame chicken YUM! Shrimp lo mein… oh my gosh, SO good! If you’re in between rice and noodle, do the noodles!!!!!
Generous portions and food doesn’t take too long to reach the table; as a vegetarian, I was glad to see many options. Unfortunately, they delivered one portion of my meal with meat, even though it was ordered vegetarian. I thought it tasted funny, but I didn’t want to make an issue when I was unsure. By the third bite, I was certain and even spat out the meat into my napkin to inspect the rather large chunk of it. (Needless to say, I had to excuse myself from the table for a moment.)
I mentioned it to the waitress and she “handled” it. Handling it meant that they apologized and brought a new, vegetarian version out and assured me that all was in order. They still charged me instead of simply taking it off of my bill. If they’d done that, I’d go back, but since they didn’t, I won’t be going back.
Pity. They chose $1.95 one time instead of absorbing the cost and having me return dozens of times over the next few years. Oh, well!
We had a high hope to get some decent Szechuan dishes from this place, but the dishes come out at average levels. We ordered the Tofu Fish Fillet with Spicy Sauce, but the Tofu cubes were bland. The fish-flavored eggplants were a little greasy. I think their American-Chinese dishes might worth trying.
If you are looking for authentic well cooked Schizwan food this is definitely not a good choice.
I have never left a restaurant review but the food here was so bad I felt morally obliged to share my experience.
Sadly the food doesn’t meet a 1 star.
I have been living in Asia for 14years, I know authentic Chinese cuisine, I have eaten Schizwan dishes in the UK, Europe and Australia and this was the worst!
All my orders were Schizwan dishes; what I received was inedible, from the soup noodles to the aubergine dish which was excessively sweet, no Schizwan pepper spice, bland on bland is a generous assessment of the food but truthfully it was rancid!
No dine-in despite the listing, but a lovely lady opened the door and gave me some free rice cakes before I walked off.
Please change your listing. Still, 5 stars ❤️
What the hell ??? Pork black bean?? A bowl of peppers and onion’s beef. Lomein dry noodles two strip of meat?? Don’t go here it suck’s what a rip-off
If you're looking for bland, breaded and deep fried American Chinese food, go elsewhere. If you're seeking delicious, spicy Sichuan, then Great Wall is your spot. Mapo tofu, Sichuan green beans, eggplant are all great. I'll miss this place when is closes in December.
